The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LAWFF) has partnered with their long-time supporter Capital Area United Way (CAUW) to help us raise funds through their 225GIVES campaign this GivingTuesday. LAWFF is a nonprofit, public charitable foundation, tax exempt under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and so recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. about 225gives

225GIVES, presented Capital Area United Way (CAUW), is a 24-hour online giving day taking place on the globally known Giving Tuesday, November 30, 2021, with a two week early giving period set to open Monday, November 15th. 225GIVES helps generate philanthropic giving for area nonprofits. This powerful online fundraising initiative unites the Capital Region in support of our nonprofit community. On Tuesday, November 30th, starting at 12:00 a.m. and for the next 24 hours, individuals can go to the home page and use a credit, debit, or ACH to donate to any participating nonprofit. Donors can search for nonprofits by parish, city, cause, demographic served, organization size, and more. Donors can add as many nonprofits to their "cart" as they like and complete multiple donations to different nonprofits in a single transaction. Donations begin at $10 and there is no limit to the maximum size or number of donations made.

about givingtuesday

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. GivingTuesday was born and incubated at the 92nd Street Y and its Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in New York City. GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
